Masjid al-Qiblatayn

Battle Field Of Uhad

Seven Mosques

The Seven Mosques in Medina, Saudi Arabia, is a complex of six historic mosques. It's called "seven" because some believe it originally included seven mosques. Additionally, many visitors include Masjid Al-Qiblatayn in their visits, often considering it part of the complex. Masjid al-Khandaq is also sometimes counted among the seven.

Mosque of Al-Ghamamah

The Mosque of Al-Ghamamah (Arabic: مسجد الغمامة) is one of the oldest mosques in Medina, believed to be where the Prophet Muhammad performed an Eid prayer in 631 and offered Salat ul-Istasqa during a drought. It was closed for daily prayers due to its proximity to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi but has recently reopened for worship, holding five daily prayers with an internal sound system.

Riadhul Jannah and mehrab

Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Between my house and my pulpit lies a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and my pulpit is upon my fountain (Al-Kauthar).” [Bukhari] Scholars interpret this as a parallel garden in Paradise, a garden that will return to Paradise, or a resemblance to Paradise due to the peace in Allah's remembrance. The area measures about 22 meters by 15 meters, with part in the Sacred Chamber of the Prophet (ﷺ).

Prophet's Mosque

The Prophet's Mosque (Arabic: ٱلْمَسْجِد ٱلنَّبَوِي‎, romanized: al-Masjid al-Nabawī) is the second mosque built by the Islamic prophet Muhammad in Medina, following Quba. It is the second largest mosque and holiest site in Islam, after Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, located in the Hejaz region of Saudi Arabia. The mosque is at the heart of Medina and is a major pilgrimage site, overseen by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
